Everybody knows. The things she does to please. She's just a little tease. See the way she walks. Hear the way she talks. You're written in her book. You're number 37 have a look. She's going to play you for a fool, it's true. Little boy, she's from the street. Before you start you're already beat.
“Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities — always see them, for they’re always there.”—Norman Vincent Peale (via julie911)
was spent pretty much alone, which is fine. I basically watched movies on Netflix all day yesterday and all day today. We just got Netflix, so I consider that a Christmas gift. I also got money from my parents. I didn’t ask for anything this Christmas… for the first time ever. That was somewhat refreshing. It’s crazy how things change when you’re older. Christmas doesn’t feel the same for me. Not because of the presents, but because my whole family is so separated now. So weird not to be around a bunch of people this time of year.
I drove a stick-shift today. I need more practice, and it’s gonna take some getting used to, but it was fun… even though I stalled quite a few times. It makes driving an automatic seem so much easier (obviously, duh). I can’t wait until I actually get the hang of it. I’ll finally have my own car (kind of).
Signing up for classes used to be so hectic. Now that I planned out all the classes I’ll need to take to transfer to a CSU or UC, it’s seems much simpler. The only thing is that I’m probably going to only have 3 classes next semester. I’m trying to get into an online nutrition class, but they’re all closed… I put it in my shopping cart yet didn’t sign up in time… Oops. I was still debating on whether I should take it or not because I wasn’t sure how well I’d do in an online class. Then once I decided to take it, it was already filled up.
So, in order to keep up with my plan to transfer in a year and a half from now, I’ll have to take 5 classes during Fall semester ‘11. -_-
I feel like it’s going to take me forever to get to a university.
“I please myself with the graces of the winter scenery, and believe that we are as much touched by it as by the genial influences of summer. To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it behold, every hour, a picture which was never seen before, and which shall never be seen again.”—Ralph Waldo Emerson (via wetbehindthears)
